Broken | injured ankle | leg exercise tutorial part 1
Hello,
If you are like me and are used to having an active lifestyle and doing exercise regularly this type of injury can feel like the worst thing for your fitness goals. But you don’t have to completely stop. So here are some yoga/exercise/pilates moves that I have been doing whilst with the cast that have helped me.
Just to be clear even though I say this in the video this is my seventh week of having the cast so I am no longer in constant pain and can move my leg a lot more. I was not able to do half of these when I first broke my ankle. I am also not a doctor or a physio therapist.
The worst thing for me wasn’t that I broke my ankle but that I knew I would have to stop my active lifestyle. And doing these exercises has helped me maintain some movement in my body.
